TOSÇELİK IMPLEMENTING ONE OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST ROOFTOP SPP PROJECTS!

Tosçelik is one of the world's first sustainability-oriented green steel producers and it exports to 3 continents: Europe, Africa, Mexico, Brazil, and America. Toşçelik sets an example for the sector with its circular economy-oriented studies and more than 100 sustainability-focused research and development projects and process management. Tosçelik transforms all waste heat into energy in their facility and invests in renewable energy sources. The rooftop solar power plant that the company built in its pipe production facility in Osmaniye is ranked among the world's top five rooftop solar power plants. Tosçelik procures renewable energy sources for self-consumption and proves this with International Renewable Energy Certificates(I-REC).

In 2021, 10 MW rooftop solar installed capacity was registered to the I-REC and issued 6412 MWh I-REC certificates. The company produces pipes with the lowest carbon footprint. And they will be the first pipe manufacturer which supplies 100% of its energy from renewable resources and redeems I-REC certificates for self-consumption in Turkey in 2022. The 2022 target of the company is to install more than 70 MW of green energy power plants and reach the installed capacity of 140 MW of rooftop solar energy systems.
