Foton started its activities in 2021 as the local issuer of the International IREC Standard Foundation in Turkey. In the same year, Foton launched the world's first blockchain-based renewable energy marketplace platform.

Foton, organizes the IREC Istanbul Meeting every year, together with IREC, where expert speakers evaluate the renewable energy transformation in terms of technology, legal regulations and international trade.
